MOYA Indonesia Distributes 1,500 Basic Food Packages for Fishermen in Teluk Bintan Affected by the North Monsoon Season

As a form of social care for coastal communities, PT Moya Indonesia together with PT Tamaris Hydro distributed basic food assistance to fishermen in the Teluk Bintan area on 11–13 March 2025. This support was provided in response to the North Monsoon season, when high waves made it difficult for fishermen to go to sea and earn a living.

Approximately 1,500 food packages were distributed across six villages and urban wards in Bintan Regency and Tanjung Pinang City, Riau Islands Province: Penaga Village, Pengujan Village, Bintan Buyu Village, Tembeling Village, Tembeling Tanjung Urban Ward, and Senggarang Urban Ward.

The activity was warmly welcomed by fishermen’s families. The assistance is expected to help ease the economic burden on coastal communities impacted by extreme weather and limited fishing activity during the high-wave season.

Distribution was carried out smoothly with support from local authorities and strong coordination between volunteer teams and village/ward officials. MOYA Indonesia hopes this initiative provides meaningful benefits for the fishing community and strengthens shared commitment to coastal welfare.
